Château-Thierry called on us to renovate their tree-top net course, originally installed just a few years ago by another company.
The goal : to give their ageing installations a new lease of life while preserving as many of the existing elements as possible, reducing unnecessary consumption and making the most of everything that could still be reused.
With trees being strangled by the existing installations and nets showing significant signs of wear, we rebuilt the play areas, replaced the nets, and added a brand-new play zone featuring obstacles, balls and slides.
We also chose to refurbish some of the older play equipment rather than replace it, giving the existing structure a new lease of life.
The client wanted the installation to blend naturally into its surroundings, so we opted for green and black as the main colours.
An extended lifespan
We also proposed a maintenance plan for the years ahead to ensure the installations remain in use for as long as possible. We guarantee a 12 to 15-year lifespan, compared with 5 to 7 years for other installers. How ?
-
- Cables installed without strangling or damaging the trees
-
- Woven polyamide nets, which are extremely durable compared with less reliable knotted polyester nets
-
- Choice of local and sustainable materials
-
- More elaborate and sophisticated installation techniques = doubled lifespan and less maintenance
Today, visitors can complement their historical tour of the château with a fun and immersive activity in a brand-new trampÔforest® — completely renovated and ready for a new adventure.
